You will learn about the Maori people, culture, and language, and learn about social services in a country with socialized medical and mental health services.

The departure date is expected to be July 29, 2019 with a return date of to August 12, 2019. These dates may change slightly but will be finalized by April 2019.

SOWK 499.599 (4 credits): Global Seminar on Social Services and Maori Studies in New Zealand. The course is open to undergraduate and graduate students from any major. Course work will begin prior to departure to assure that students are well-prepared for their international experiences.
